The Shaw Trust is a social enterprise and charity supporting local adults with learning disabilities and autism. It's garden centres are open to the public and they grow much of what they sell onsite in the nursery area with all profits reinvested. The Shaw Trust is a national employability charity with a purpose to transform a million lives each year. In Stockton it provides a day service to adults with learning disabilities. Its products are grown locally, reducing the carbon footprint and providing hands-on work experience and educational opportunities to local disabled adults.
